The Firearms Licensing Division (FLD) is responsible for processing and approving firearm license applications for civilians. FLD officers must ensure that all applicants meet the necessary legal requirements, conduct background checks, and issue or deny licenses based on department policies.
- Minimum rank of Police Officer III
- Strong knowledge of firearm laws, licensing procedures, and SOPs
- No active disciplinary infractions in the past 30 days
- Ability to conduct fair and thorough assessments of applicants
